The NGO World (TNW) prepared the project for the renovation of the Government Primary School for Boys & Girls at Bangali Para, Karachi. The school serves to 300 students, and upon the requests of the administrators and as a result of the on-site inspections, the project included renovation of classrooms, toilets, teachers’ rooms, a principal’s room, white wash to whole building and renovate a garden.
The NGO World with the financial support of Turkish Red Crescent Society (TRCS), Pakistan, renovated the school in short period of 15 days. After the repair and construction work was completed, the renovated and newly built garden were handed over to the school administrators.
A handing over ceremony was organized by TNW. Honorable Turkish Consul to Karachi Mr. Tolga UCAK, Mr. Ibrahim Carlos, Head of TRCS Delegation, Pakistan, Mr. Noor Ahmed Solangi, District Officer Education, District Malir, Karachi, Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Chairman TNW, Haji Muhammad Shafi Jamot (Ex-MPA), Muhammad Hashim, Principle Government Primary School for Boys & Girls, Bangali Para, Karachi were graced the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the School’s administrator and principal thanked TRCS & TNW for its contributions. They said that delivering the highest quality academic environments can have in positively impacting the performance of students.
The school was founded in 1985 but it’s never undergone a major renovation like this. “It really is transformational,” said Muhammad Hashim, Principle. School teachers said “We’re just really excited to be here. We think all these tools that we now have can help us explore more ways of teaching and more ways of connecting with the students and we think it’s brought a lot of joy and a lot of hope and a lot of motivation to all of us,”.
