Brothers For Social Good

English EN Turkish TR

Millions of people currently, in the world are suffering from extreme poverty- and lack of basic needs i.e. food, water, shelter, education and health, for those people, every day is a struggle to survive

In order to provide support, in terms of provision of food, Qurbani (Sacrifice of animals), Muslims share the food (the food of Qurbani) with other Muslim to show brotherhood and solidarity.

Eid Al-Adha is the commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim’s (as) obedience in surrendering to the will of Allah when in a dream Prophet Ibrahim was commanded by Allah to sacrifice his son Ismail (as). Each year Qurbani animals are slaughtered from the 10th-13th day of the month of Dhul Hijjah in honor and commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to Allah’s commands.

The people of Pakistan who lives under poverty line  are not able to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with Islamic values like sacrifice of animals etc. To include these people in the festive of eid it is obligation as a muslim to help their fellows in such festives and celebrations and should come forward as community to support.

The NGO World with support of Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi has been sacrificing animals to fulfill the purpose of sharing food and festive on occasion of Eid-al-Adha since many years. Meat packs are distributed among the poor families living in different parts of Pakistan.
